This 1965 Volvo P1800S is a Volvo-powered, tube framed racer originally built in Canada by Kingpin Engineering with no expense spared, and designed for the SPM or GTM in the CACC, and currently running SCCA SPO class. The turbocharged 2.3L turbo Volvo inline-four is backed by a Saenz 5-speed manual gearbox and a quick change rear.
The engine has been completely overhauled with machine work, new forged Wiseco pistons, H beam rods and a custom head/cam from top builder in Sweden. Engine has one weekend running and all bugs worked out. Has current SCCA annual tech on 10/16/2025.

Head built by Tommy at Overboost Racing in Arvika, Sweden: exhaust flow 177cfm and intake is 216cfm, 46mm intake valves and 38mm exhaust valves-stainless. Dual springs (lessjöfors made in sweden) and in house made 7075 alu retainers with 2541 steel bottom retainer. custom grind camshaft for non use of lash caps butwith bigger base circle so you only adjust lash as the original cylinder head with std shims. camshaft is 11,3mm and 272 duration with 112 lobe
separation. Combustion chamber volume is 56cc for compression ratio of 8,52:1.
This is a well sorted and unique turn key race car. Have spare B23 core block, new set of Custom Ross pistons, 2 heads, 2nd set of wheels, 2 good rear tires. And miscellaneous parts and spares.
