“Just The Tip” rotor fix
MSD Rotor and Base, P/N 8457 that fits MSD 84697 crank trigger distributors now sells for $58.95. The only part that wears on the MSD rotor is the brass tip which also has a new high temp design with large holes that make the contact point burn up faster when using the HVC 2 Coils.
Solution, make replacement tips precision cut from the same grade of brass material but with a better design, introducing “Just the Tip” replacement. These will fit most MSD crank trigger distributor rotors. The design is similar to the older version that won’t burn up quickly and also doesn’t cost $58 to replace. The tips are tumble processed to deburr the edges and cleaned in alcohol before packaging. I have these in stock and more on the way!
