Ok so im trying to get the fittings on this Russell Pro Classic black nylon hose. Unlike braided stainless the material wants to un-ravel .
Whats the trick to this stuff?... i tried taping the ends still no luck. There has to be a easier way.
Thanks
Keith

Are you talking about when you cut it, or when your installing the hose end?
When cutting it wrap electrical tape around it REALLY tight, I cut it with a PVC pipe cutter but I am sure a razor blade would also work. slowly unwrap the tape, spray some lube in the hose end and assemble.
I've never had any problems with it.
But I have only used aeroquip, earls, and jegs not russell :?

intresting your having trouble I have the aeroquip stuff, you dont even need to tape the ends, cut it with a pvc cutter or cable cutters and stick it together.
Make sure you blow them out. Maybe try a few wraps of masking tape and then cut it to help it.

I wrap it with tape super tight...cut it looks nice and clean .. take the tape off and the nylon material ..sticks to the tape and un ravels.. then its a mushroom.
When i try to install into the fitting it just becomes again un-raveled. Ive done a ton of stainless braided line no problems.
i dont know..
