Issues with coordinating two lifting actuators

Recently I ran into a problem with a project that uses two actuators to raise a hidden storage section in my workspace because one side keeps moving slightly faster than the other and the uneven travel makes the whole mechanism feel unstable. I tried adjusting the brackets and even checked the wiring, but the inconsistency appears most often under heavier loads. Since the setup relies on both sides lifting together, I am starting to think the control hardware might be outdated and no longer capable of keeping both actuators synchronized the way it should

Seeing how they regulate direction and coordinate speed helped me pick a system that kept both actuators moving evenly even when the load shifted slightly.

Honestly setups that use two actuators often show this kind of imbalance once the control hardware gets older because earlier units were not always built for precise synchronization. Taking time to map out how the mechanism behaves under normal and heavier loads usually helps identify what features matter most before upgrading the controller. It is also worth checking whether the current wiring configuration allows an easy switch to a newer system without redesigning the whole frame
