1992 Spec Miata w/ Rossini 1.6 Engine
$19,000 OBO
Race ready Spec Miata. Has raced two weekends here in the NASA Utah 2026 season with a 2nd place finish in its most recent weekend.
Since I’ve owned it, the engine has 8.9 hours. Before that, I was told it only ran one weekend on the engine after new, so I’m guessing the total is around 12 hours?
* NOTE, does not come with the black set of wheels pictured (forgot to switch those out for the listing), but comes with the 3 sets of wheels + Hoosier rain tires pictured.
Purchased earlier this year and put in a lot of time and effort into getting it dialed in, but had a change of plans and won’t be able to race the rest of the season.
There is still a good amount more performance that can be gotten out of this car through setup and AFR tuning (new AFR gauge included, just not yet installed), but haven’t gotten around to those final touches.
Here’s everything I’ve added to it since purchasing in January:
- New OMP RS-PT2 Fiberglass Racing Seat (Expires 2030)
- Sparo R383 steering wheel w/ quick release and push-to-talk radio button
- New Sparco Comp H-2 Endurance Aluminum Racing Harness - FIA 8853-2016 (Expires 2030)
- New Lifeline Zero 2020 Fire Marshal FIA Fire System - 3 Liter Mechanical
- New alternator
- Interior re-paint
- Garmin Catalyst
- New Driver Side Net
- New OEM stock ECU
- New battery
- Other small misc upgrades
Extras it comes with:
- AEM Digital Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge (not installed, but new in packaging)
- 2x Extended Lower Ball Joints from Advanced Autosports
- 3 sets of wheels as pictured (including the tires)
- Race ready new set of Hoosier RCES Spec Miata tires (only ran a few laps on them to heat cycle then let them rest as recommended by Hoosier, so they’re ready out the gate to go)
- Brand new set of Hoosier rain spec miata tires
The driver window net does expire at the end of June 2026, but the car has passed 2026 NASA Tech, so that might not need to be replaced to race again this year? I’m not certain, but in the worst case it's about $70 for a replacement.
