Recent updates done by AC Carcraft:
New Glasstek fiberglass doors with powdercoated black aluminum door panels, Lexan windows, upper window latches. New Lexan windshield w/brace.
The existing front cap with (fiberglass fenders and bumperettes) has been made removable (still uses steel OE upper and lower valance and grille/working headlight assemblies). The rear lower portion of the fenders remain in place where the headers exit through them when removing front cap.
New lightweight aluminum radiator and tubular chromoly core support.
New removable VFN fiberglass OE Camaro style dash.
Chromoly steering column with Strange 5 bolt hub and Bickel column extension/steering wheel adapter.
One or two minor cage reinforcement bars were added to update the chassis spec (I think it will now certify to 25.5 specs).
Custom stainless steel fender exit step headers for 10.200 deck block with Big Chief heads.
Total spent @ AC Carcraft $13675.81 - NOTE: I supplied the aluminum radiator ($200.00) VFN fiberglass dash ($376.34) and Glasstek doors ($780.00) which are not on the AC Carcraft bill.
Recent body and paint work done by Keith's Rods and Customs:
The new chassis bars and core support, etc. all painted to match existing chassis color. The new fiberglass doors were painted to match the car, all exterior trim and stripes repainted from silver to black.
Total paint and body work $3224.00
The car weighed 3020 lbs. over the scales with me in it, after a nitrous pass with the old Donovan 565" engine. The minimum weight was 3000 lbs.
Best times with that setup were 7.56@181 in the 1/4 and 4.80@150 in the 1/8.
I'm not sure how much lighter it is now, but it used to have all glass windows, steel doors with crank-up windows and stock door panels, stock dash and steering column, stock rad core support with large radiator, etc. I'd bet she will be a few hundred pounds lighter now!
As you can see, I've spent over $18K in upgrades recently. The Bruno Lenco trans alone is worth much more than $10K. Just the rear beadlock wheels are almost $3K for the pair.
I'm asking $50K for the rolling chassis as listed above. It's super clean, show quality. I think that's a very fair deal. Let me know if you'd like to look at it. It's been stored on a lift in an air conditioned shop, and I'll have to move some things around in the shop to get it on the ground first. I've attached a few pics for your viewing pleasure...
Thanks for looking!
Rich
