This hydraulic roller long block is rated to 2,000 hp. We switch to a mechanical roller cam and Jesel shaft rocker system at anything over 2,000 crank horsepower, so that's a different long block. But let's focus on this one for now. The engine block is the foundation any build. The Dart LS Next design is both solid and user friendly. No one has been using them longer than us. Dart's late founder, Richard Maskin, personally presented us with Serial #0002. (Dart cut up #0001 for QC checks).

Fasteners are literally what hold the engine together. We replace the main bolts with main studs for more precise and reliable clamping force. The Dart block's 6-bolt per cylinder design provides a big jump in applied clamping force over a 4-bolt design. We take this a big step further by machining for 1/2" head studs. These exert 40% higher clamping force than comparable 7/16" studs.
The center counterweighted Callies Apex crank has a 4.000" stroke and is made from extremely clean 4340 Timken alloy. Callies' center counterweight design is a major upgrade. The cranks stiffness is increased by about 25% while reducing harmonics. The net result is less stress on the main bearings and longer engine life.
Ultra connecting rods are produced from specially formulated Timken Steel 4330 and precision forged for uniform grain flow and consistency. The Enforcer takes it to the next level of performance by adding material at key points for greater strength. Riding on the rods are 4.125" Diamond Race Series LS dish pistons. This combination yields a 427 cubic inch displacement.
On top are our BRE-machined All Pro Retro cylinder heads filled with the parts you need to push this engine to the limit. We start with raw castings so the ports, runners and combustion chamber are all custom. We can machine either LS3 or LS7 ports into the heads to match your existing intake manifold. The port work does not change the valve angle which will remain at 12 degrees on the LS3 variant. The All Pro's are assembled with Inconel exhaust valves and Severe Duty Manley intake valves capable of holding up to a pile of boost and live a long life driving on the street.
Comp Cam's BSR shaft rockers provide valve train stability for the hydraulic roller valve train. This is a big help at higher rpm. Sticking with hydraulic rollers saves the pain of periodic valve lash adjustment required with a mechanical cam.
