I say “possible” 1966 Nova L79 short block because the ID codes on the front of the block have been restamped so I can’t 100% confirm it is an L79 but read below why I think it may be…

Casting Number… 3791362 (L79 P/N)
Date Code… E66 (May 6, 1966)
Engine ID… Restamped(see photos)
Oil Filter… Recessed
Bore Size… 4.00
Cylinders… None are scored and from the naked eye look like it will clean up with a hone.
The Crankshaft…
Casting Number… 4577 (L79 P/N)
The Pistons…
Part Number… 3866954 (L79 P/N)
They have TRW cast into them but hard to get a clear pic with the rods still attached.
