INTRODUCTION: Only 1,500 miles on this absolutely gorgeous '70 Chevelle! Want something that stands out and turns heads? This one is guaranteed to do it. The Tuxedo Black with that striking red interior is a knockout, and it's very nicely restored and detailed from front to back, top to bottom.
EXTERIOR: It's an absolute jaw dropping knockout! Finished in Tuxedo Black, which is the original color according to the cowl tag. The body is exceptionally straight with excellent fit and gaps, and that black paint has been polished like a mirror- it looks like you could dive right into it! It features a functional cowl induction hood with the flapper door, and without a vinyl top, there's nothing to interrupt all that gorgeous black paint. The red stripes are stunning, especially paired with the red interior. It appears that virtually all of the exterior trim has been replaced, including the chrome, trim, lenses, bezels and moldings. Even the glass all the way around and the weatherstrips were replaced. It rolls on reproduction SS wheels upgraded to 15 inches and wrapped in reproduction Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, giving it just the right factory muscle car look.
INTERIOR: Man, that red interior against the Tuxedo Black exterior is a stunner! It has fresh carpet on the floor with embroidered SS 454 mats, while overhead the headliner and matching visors were replaced. The seats have been reupholstered and fitted with new trim, and the door panels and armrests were replaced as well. The entire instrument panel looks fresh and features a full set of factory gauges, including a tachometer and working clock. The factory AM/FM radio remains in place, and the heater control panel was replaced. A reproduction steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. The center console looks new, and the best part is the Hurst 4-speed shifter sticking out of it! A complete set of GM seat belts finishes off this sharp, factory style interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very nicely restored and detailed with a factory correct appearance. It is powered by a correctly dated 454-360hp engine with desirable 512 casting. Topped with a dual feed Holley carburetor and functional cowl induction system. Reproduction chrome valve covers dress it up, while a set of coated Hooker headers provides a performance upgrade. The components all look clean and proper. It also features power steering and power brakes with a cadmium plated booster. It is complete with the correct style fan shroud, reproduction radiator cap and Delco battery topper. The wiring and wiper motor were replaced, the washer system is hooked up, and all the surrounding metal surfaces are painted smooth and neatly finished. Proper reproduction decals are in place, along with the suspension dust shields.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are finished in the same slick paint as the exterior. Inside is all clean metal with a neatly applied factory style spatter finish. It's properly detailed with reproduction decals, weatherstrip and trunk mat. A reproduction SS wheel serves as the spare, accompanied by a reproduction jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and everything underneath was restored with a factory style appearance. It has the desirable F41 suspension, which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed rear control arms. The steering and suspension were rebuilt, and the braking system was restored to factory configuration with discs in front and drums in back. The brake lines and emergency brake cables were replaced. It has a great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and the correct SS tips exiting out the back. The fuel system was replaced, including the tank and lines. Looking up at the motor, it's clean and properly finished in Chevy Orange with the correct style starter. A new Auto Gear 4-speed, which is a reproduction of the original Muncie, sends power through a rebuilt driveshaft to the 12-bolt rear end. The floors are all clean, smooth metal painted black and everything is very nicely detailed, right down to the assembly line tags throughout.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.
CONCLUSION: Everyone loves a '70 Chevelle, and yes, there are others on the market- but this is the only one that looks like this! The Tuxedo Black, red stripes and stunning red interior make it a true standout. If you want a Chevelle that gets noticed everywhere it goes, this is it.
