We bought a British Ultima GTR that had been converted to race at the 24 hours of Daytona 2002. We decided with our racing history in Trans-Am/Road racing that we would rebuild it to our own version. We build bodies for all kinds of cars so we made a carbon body to resemble the Lola from LeMans. We have the molds included to make more bodies. We had contacts in NASCAR and got a couple of Phase 9 V8 Toyota engines (fresh/$30K to freshen EACH motor). This is a mild steal chassis/new, carbon body, new, (2) Porsche 930 Trans-axles/one dog box and one synchro box (rebuild was $60k for both). Two engines came with the complete Toyota build history/binders. A) #4040 800hp B) #4031 860hp. We have a third engine in parts that could be included/block, heads, crank, manifold, etc. FYI, each engine was $110k+ each, in parts/when new. These are fresh with dyno time and the engine in the car has (5) laps on the car. We have Penske triple adj shocks. At least 3 full sets of wheels. The car is a GT1 style chassis yet we built it narrow with NASCAR style door bars and full NASCAR style impact foam for legitimate protection. Car has air jacks and a good list of spares.
***Car needs to be completed. We drove it to initially to "shake it down" but, the body work is not done i.e. doors/made but not fitted. If you have a great race shop and a quality engineer/fabricator, this can be a beautiful car with loads of power at roughly 2,200 lbs. More photos coming and ultimately we have images from Day one. We are building other cars and going another direction. Hopefully it finds a great home!
