Hey you guys I had a blowen altered and sold the motor to a guy out of Canada. He called me and asked me if I would trade for his car with out motor and some cash.We had talked a few times and then he drove to KY and looked at my motor we talked for a while and I told him we ran the motor two weeks before I sold it to him. It ran some 1.09 60 foots and we put it away.My driver said that oil pressure was good when he clicked off! Any ways he gets to Canada and calls me and says it was blowen up.I said ther is know way with 6 pass on it and after 3 pass I checked the bearrings and they looked good. So he tells me he has a bill to fix it $4700 to fix it and i had just spent $10,000 on it 1 month before.any ways I said let me talk to my guy. Then I get a call from some guy that said he was with some internet task force and wanted to pick the car to check for a vin#. so i greed to let them pick up. The next day this guy called and had been talking to someone from Ky state police and it started to get fishey so I called the state police and they said the could inspect the car. They told me not letany one take the car because they thougt it was a scam ! I called this guy and told him he could not pick up the car and he got pissed off and hung up.that was the last i herd from this guy in canada until now!

CobraDave- Let me see if I understand,
You traded the motor out of your Blown altered to a person in Canada for his car and some cash.
You got car plus cash and he got your motor?
He called you and said the motor was bad and needed $4700 to fix.
You had just put $10k into it.
You then got a call that someone from an Internet Task force (IC3 ?) wanted to check the VIN of the car you got from the guy in Canada.
Now who was talking to the KY state police initially?
Did the "Internet Task Force Guy" want to take the car you got from the guy in Canada?
It almost sounds like the person who got your motor was trying to repo the car to pay for what he feels he is out on the motor. (If there is no lein or financing involved, that would seem like auto theft to me)
Cobra Dave is this right? or please correct me.
Thanks, Scorp

motor was stated all new partsin race junk ad as stated above, the parts where junk, the cracked crank spun mains and streched rod where the first sign, I call him within 48 hrs after the deal, I drove 1800 miles to do this deal, and gave him 3500 cash, a new reid super glide and a complete roller less only motor and converter and a bird catcher on a tunnel ram intake and all the lines and nozzles after checking the motor and finding out it was all junk, I called dave and he stated he had no money , he was broke his house burned down, he wrecked the car, and various other excueses, he is a lier, the guy that came to see you was an investigator from national recovery services, I in no way impresonated a law officer, to rectify this deal all I asked for was half of the repair bill which I told dave was 4700, all I asked for was 2000.00 back.he can say what he wants and you guys can think what you want but all I know is he is tring hard to dump the car and I'm left with an motor that is blown up If dave feels he an honest person he would have made this right,\.. ask him for the real story with no B.S. nad you would see who got the short end of the deal

I was wiling to drive back down and trade him back but he did not want to do that he told me that he would make it right and never did, all I ever wanted was to make this a fair deal., I emailed pics to him of all the junked parts he siad he could not understand how this could be,he told me he had no money, but I had just given hin 3500 two days before that, Dave can make this right if he was honest, the title to the car is still in my name and he has no bill of sale , however I have a bill of sale for the motor I am not tring to steal this car back I am not a thief I have sold lots of other stuff and I don't BS people when selling stuff what I say it is, is what it is.

Brownz:
I have read everything here.
I have one question: why do you still have the title & there was no bill of sale when this transaction was complete?
I am not taking sides here. I think this story is missing some things. One thing I know is that if I was trying to re-po or recover my car after a bad deal, I would not "impersonate an officer" when I still retain the title & have no bill of sale... why risk it when you have the strongest automotive document to prove you still own it???? If you were as malicious as the Cobra claims, you could have reported it stolen (again, no proof of a deal when no title/bill of sale). Having said this, there are some missing things about this deal.
Cobra: 1 pass or 600 passes, a motor can start to fly apart. At the same time, I would be no more surprised to hear it is shot & you were unaware of all of the damage without a prior complete teardown. Let me ask you this: assuming the motor is fine as you say it should be, what is Brownz's motivation to come on here & state all of this??? Perhaps I am not understanding everything (it would not be the first time). Anyways, not taking sides, & I am neutral right now. Glad the kids are ok.
Good luck & I hope you both can come to terms & respect each others concerns. Pray about it.... Rigsby
