The likely reason this stuff is horking up is the fact that this board is still using version 2 of the free PHPBB software, which was replaced with v3 back three or 4 years ago and has had 3 security updates since then?? Right now the current version is 3.0.11
This part doesn't make them any money so they don't waste any time working on it.
