Is the 14psi before the regulator? I run 21lbs off the pump, but only 7.5 AFTER the regulator going to the carb.
If it has 14lbs to the carb it wouldn't crank. Time you turned the pump on it would start flooding the motor and you would notice it right away.
14psi at the pump is ok as long as you have it down to the 6 to 8.5 range at the carb.
