I remember my 468 a few years back @ 39 degrees ran 8.40's, I decided to go 33 with it ran 8.20's. Slapped a different intake on it and moved it to 32 and it ran 8.0's, not to shabby for $1500 short block, in a 2010lb car

Hehe that's funny David,
Think about it, 10's of thousands of dollars spent on motors, a new chassis 100 lbs lighter, and a gain of 1/2 second over the cheapo 468. The reason i think this is funny, is the cheapo 468 i built for the 3700lb Biscyne, stock steel crank, 804 rods, and a set of $425.00 probe 10.2 comp. ratio on pump gas, actual cost was less than $1,000.00 short blk. it's running 10.50's @ 126mph on DOT Hooser street slicks, no one believes it's a 468, there's been estimates from 502 to 540", but we just grin and go on with it
