Been getting parts for my new project I have most everything for the short block. This is going to be a spare to my bigger motor. Its going to be a 496 CI BBC, Externally Balanced with pretty much standard parts.
Parts so far that I've gathered
Crank- 4.25 Eagle 4340
Rods- Crower's with good bolts
Pistons- Weisco will be around 14:1 with a 118cc head.
Block- 454 Stock Block, 289 casting.
Oil Pan- Moroso
Oil Pump- Moroso Billet
All these parts but the pistons,crank,oil pump are RJ/Ebay parts. I've really found if you arent looking the parts coming when you need them they never seen to be there. This is a project I've been messing with for over the last 6months and have pennies into good parts that should make a nice spare motor.
