I like rectangle ports but thats my 2 cents, but back in 1978 building my
first sbc, chet herbert (doug herberts dad) told me that on a motor for
street you don't want to go over .500 lift sbc, .600 lift bbc, on the street.
because of the daily driving. i'm using a solid mechanical roller cam
with a .636 lift, mostly strip, very little street. but my friend has a
nova 283 w/a cam that has a .750 lift and it sounds ratical on the street,
more lift than my bbc cam, so much for the rules of the street 8)
