A hydraulic lifter whether in small or big block chevy adjusts the same. zero plus ½ to 1 turn. Anywhere close will work but may not perform as it could.
Now I think the pushrods are too long causing the plunger to bottom out siezing the springs. :lol:
Its not really all that technical, the billingham-langston ganglia wrench is quite easy to master, its the philpott extension that complicates things.
