427 tall deck truck engine
1st Question )Does anyone know if these blocks can be bored to a 4.500 bore , i'm aming to make a 540 ci with a 427 5-ton truck block machined downed to a 4.500 bore x 4.250 stroke with a 6.535 rod it should put me right to the top 540 ci any info would be great help
2nd question) Can i use a 502 piston in a 427 truck block bored to a 4.468 and a 4.250 crank or 4.500 with a 6.535 rod to give a 533ci or a 564ci.I had a friend pull my leg and he got 4.475 x 4.250 = 525 or 526 ci but i did not ask him what rod he used out of a 427 tall deck, i wonder how much of bore these blocks can take??????
