aluminum heads vs steel heads for cooling

i know aluminum heads let you run a little more compression and will not cause pinging and hot spots, whereas standard factory heads require the lower compression these days because of the low octane gas. my main question is will a engine run cooler with aluminum heads vs stock type steel heads, this of course depends on that the rest of the cooling stysemis up to par. i was under the impression that cast iron blocks and heads definitely absorb the heat out of the water passing through, therefore cooling better. really would appreciate you views on this matter thanks art

I really didn't notice a cooling change, but aluminum disipates heat better than cast iron, so it would have to make a difference how much I couldn't tell ya.
