Crankshaft turning???

Anyone ever heard of a builder having to turn a crankshaft to clear the bottom of the pistons???

Sounds like the engine builder chose the wrong rod length and piston combo. Most all stroker cranks require a longer rod to clear the counter weights. Example: if you have a 496" crank 4 1/4" stroke you can't use the stock 6.135 lenght rod and most crankshaft manufacturer's tell you this out front, you have to go with a 6.385 rod, and corsponding pistons. Same thing with a sm/blk 434" crank 4.00" stroke, you cannot use a 5.7 rod, you have to go to a 6.00 rod and the list goes on.

Zip.

You will pay a fortune in heavy metal to get it balanced.
