New personal best E.T. and mph

I went to test and tune tonight. Ran a new personal best 9.83 @ 130.00 on a fat tune up in my roadster. I think with some tweeking there might be a .70something in there somewhere.

I had a steering issue last year and finally over the winter found the passenger a-arm mount was moving when you input any steering on a pass. Built new upper a-arms and put more caster in it.

I made 3 passes tonight a really easy roll up to speed to test where it was going to go, an 1/8 mile pass 6.133, then a full pass. I lost .015 in the sixty and .020 in the 1/8 on the last pass. By that time dew had set in pretty good so I called it a night. I was pretty pumped so I had to share about it.

All were made foot braking leaving at about 1800rpm. I am new to footbrake racing so it will take me some time to make sure I am at the right rpm.

easy pass 1/8 mile pass full pass
1 2 3
RT .014 .020 .029
60' 1.413 1.350 1.363
330' 4.228 3.919 3.937
1/8 7.416 6.132 6.155
MPH 73.67 110.14 109.65
1000 10.226 8.332 8.123
1/4 12.443 10.786 9.831
MPH 98.13 82.79 129.84

I've made passes in my best friends dragster before (runner upped in a gamblers race the first time I raced it). It runs 8.30s but I believe 9.80s in my short roadster are way more exciting. His car pulls harder but other than that it's just wave at everyone as you go. LOL

Curtis,

First, those are really good foot-brake R/Ts!!! If you can keep that up, you should win a lot of No-E rounds anywhere you race!

It looks like the roadster is running really good and I'm sure those 9.80s feel really good. Let me know what it runs next time out.

I've got another race this weekend, so I hope I can get my act together. Creed moved to 2nd and I'm now in 3rd afther last weekend.

Had another new best today. 1.315 60' 6.005 1/8 and 9.64 1/4. But .035 red will always end your day. Yes I went stupid that round.

Had a new best Saturday at our last race. Went 5.964, [email protected]. I've been wanting to run in the 5.90s so I turned up the shift point to 6400 from 6000. Got exactly what I was looking for. It even had a slow 1.32 60' on that pass foot braked left at 1800rpm still.
