tranny cooler line size
 

should i use # 6 or # 8 russell line from my tranny to the tranny cooler in front of the radiator(aprox 4 foot lenght) pros and cons of each size. would appreciate your opinions on this matter thanks chevy art

Most stock trans lines are 5/16. And fitting going into the trans is 1/8 or 1/4 pipe thread. So #6 line should be enough. That's what I've always run and has worked for me. JMO

I agree with the #6 line, but for some reason I put #8 on my car. I think I got the stuff for free. That would make a difference.
