Is it a Carb. Problem??

Ive recently bought a 750 proform race carb for my 89 camaro drag car. After properly setting the float level and idle we have taken it to the track. I've experienced problems with the car "stumbling" or "lagging" off the line. While trying to find the problem with the car today, i noticed the adjustable "airflow" screws on the front bowl or plate were 1 1/2 turns out on both sides, where as the back are only 3/4 of a turn out.
Im wondering if this may be my problem with my car not wanting to leave the line properly.
Note: the timing is at 36 degrees

Put them both to 1 1/4, but thats not whats doing it.

Do you have jet extensions ?

Yes the back bowl came with bowl extentions

Yes it has bowl extentions but if thats not it, then wat could it be??
Do u think i may have the bowls set a lil low, causing it to not get the fuel it needs off the line??

Not bowl extensions, jet extensions would be on the back jets. Have you had the bowls off the carb and looked at the back jets ? If so is there anything else on them or just the jets ?

I would check the accelertor pumps to see if the pump arm is all the way against the adjuster, if you have any slack it will definetly bog. Also I would check the ignition curve, the car might not have enough inital timing.

good luck ,
steve

Are you foot-braking or using a trans-brake? If you are foot-braking I would look at the accelerator pump circuit. If you are using a trans-brake you might check fuel pressure and or float level.
