BBC Camshaft design

After alot of money spent to try many different camshafts in a 565 chevy, I decided to look at what others are doing. I see Reher and Morrison and PAR running camshafts that are in motors like mine with these large spreads between the duration of the intake and exhaust. The lift in some cases the same. Ive seen as much as 16 degree spread in the durations. I think I missed the boat on some new thinking. I really enjoy engines, Im just looking to learn! I know that now most cams have assymetrical lobes for reversion and valve train longevity, so I think I just dont know how to make a BBC run exceptional like a SBC.

Best all around cam I've came across is a Reher Morrsion Super Series Cam, a lot of engine shops use it. I've heard it called the "a$shole" grind because it works well it many combos.
