Procharger vs. Twin Turbo's
What do you guys think, I have an f2 set up and my boys are on my ASH to sell the procharger and go with a twin turbo system. I am early in my build and have the majority of all my engine parts bought. Engine wise my motor should be able to be used in either application.
Looking for all positivre and negative feedback. Thanks |
I can tell you on the piston side, turbos are harder on parts then a procharger. Most blower pistons should be fine in a turbo engine.

Turbos are also tough on the headers. Do not expect them to last, even the stainless ($$) steel ones.

it depends on how much you wanna spend! You could go with a Vortech blower, F2, Twins it doesnt matter. What gives you the best chances in your class (with wieght penelties)? You can make any one of those setups go lights out fast....just gotta figure where you wanna spend your money.
As for harder on parts, once you get to a certain hp point any setup is going to stress your parts bad! Go Big or go home!!! |
Go with procharger, am installing one on a small block right now!! Yes turbo's are harder on part's harder to tune,
