fuel pump problems
there is an ad posted on this site for a holley black electric fuel pump but it says that it cannot be used as an efi application is that true
THE HOLLEY BLACK PUMP PUSHES OUT ABOUT 14 PSI, PROBLY NOT GOING TO WORK DEPENDING ON EFI SETUP, MY 57 IS LS1 FUEL INJECTED AND CALLS FOR AROUND 60 PSI, I WENT WITH A EXTERNAL WALBRO FUEL PUMP, WITH PUSH LOK HOSE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE. YOU CAN GET THE WALBRO PUMPS FOR AROUND 100.00 NEW
so you don't think that pump will work on my 92 chevy efi with the 350
also what pump would be best?

Nope will not work, even a throttle body injection requires 15/16lbs of pressures to work properly, EFI's require 40 plus lbs of push and return lines. EFI nozzles are usually 32 to 40 lb nozzles, that why most people put in the tank fuel pumps on conversions. I have one for my 1979 El Camino but haven't installed it yet, it requires a tank made for a in the tank pump, a 1992 yellow plug computer, and a closed loop painless wiring harness, that's one of the reasdons i haven't installed it yet. it's definately not a couple hrs installation.

ok so no go on the hollley but then what brand should a get because mine is slowly dying im losing power and have a pretty bad lag lately and yes a have changed the filter did it last week and that wasn't the problem
THROW A FUEL PRESSURE TESTER ON IT AND SEE WHAT YOU HAVE, YOUR PROBLEMS MIGHT NOT BE THE FUEL PUMP...
ok that sounds like a better plan than replacing it but jw what are the most common problems that have the same issues as i have
It would probably help us to to know what it is your having the problem with first I.E > year, make, model, engine size, tbi or efi, etc etc....
