blower or nitrous?

ok so i have an 83 chevy half ton long bed truck
and it has 385 pushin about 400 hp, just buit it
i have been thinkin about gettin a small weiand blower to push about 6 psi and give me about 525 hp
but a freind af mine thinks that i should just run a 100 shot os nitrous and it would be better

what do u guys think

150 SHOT OF NOS MADE ME WAY MORE THAN HAPPY.. AND SUPRISED

Go with the nos.

I would run the blower and a 150 shot. You will be really suprised.

Blower is on Tap everytime you step on the gas...the Nos is not.
shooting for 525 hp...blower all the way.......No question in my mind.

recently went this way myself on a 69 camaro with a 400ci......in prcoess of putting blower on the car. (bm 144)

blower

oh that's easy  definitely a blower, but why not centrifugal? have to agree N20 is great bang for buck, only problem is i always had an empty bottle..

man i get scared junt lookin at all the parts that come with a centifrugal supercharger
i deffinately dont want to mess up puttin somethin that expensive together
so the roots style one im lookin at suits me alot better

maxpower671 04-06-2009 05:25 PM

is centrifugal that much more money than roots? even at relatively low psi levels?

don't really seem more complex than roots style blowers? played a bit with a 6-71 but if i could do it over, it would be with centrifugal

if i was thinking of the pro-charger route...i would just throw in the towel and go Turbo...he has plenty of Room......Just my opinion.
