Blown BBC Timing
 
Not knowing anything about the ignition timing of a blown bbc engine, where should we start? I do not have access to a dyno.

I would Start in the 28-30 Degree Range.That way your PLENTY SAFE!!!

X2, better safe than sorry, maybe a little more with alcohol. I run 34 with a sm/blk on alcohol. If you have access to a dyno, that's the best place to play with it.

what chamber cc heads do you have ???
what ignition are you going to use ????
what fuel ???
what compression ratio ???
what size fuel pump you going to run ???

these all,. need to be answered to answer your question more
acuratley.,..the answer will be between,..22 to 36 degrees.
