my question is whats the best way to cut steel braid line? i was told to get a hack saw with a 32 or high tooth count and that would work fine but it seem that i get all the way threw just fine and at the end it always screws up. i use eletrical tape were i want to cut also. the other question is any tips of tricks to get them to go into the actual fitting? thanks justin |
Line CUTTER!
I Make these LINES Daily!
CUT-OFF Wheel with a 4 or 5" Wheel! I have Used every Type of Cutter Made, this works the BEST!! Later G 8) Use as MUCH Lube as Possible, and i have some Super Thin Electrical Tape. Also,Use ANTI-SEEZE on the Fittings!!! |
I also use some big cable cutters works great, just need to keep sharp.

The little cut off wheels on a 1/8 die grinder, cheap and easy. :)

I never had no trouble with a hack saw but you gota tape it good...I use masking tape wrapped several times around. Also get a set of aluminum safe jaws for your vise that are made for the AN fittings...makes it easier.

Best way is the thinnest cut-off wheel possible. I use a .045" thick wheel all the time after giving it a couple wraps of electrical tape. Really wouldn't even need the tape it cuts so neat. |
