Brodix -8 pro heads questions

anybody use these?
and how happy were you with them?
I got a set on my 406 long rod motor and never seen anyone with them?

billhendren 08-25-2007 11:28 AM

you probably don't see many of them because they don't move much air, with there 185 c.c. runner there basically a street head and do a good job at that, but on a 400 cu.in engine you could use a lot more head Bill

these have been ported so im sure ill get more flow.also port matched to super victor intake.
but i cant complain for what I got the complete motor for.
$500.00
I got a new set of AFR 227 heads that ill throw on and fix that other issue I had with the intake.

you'll like the 227's on the 406

rabiddawg 08-27-2007 03:57 AM

yeah I hear they are deep breathing heads
ok to clarify they are -8 heads not -8 pro heads.
(bigger port volumes)
194 cc intake ports 67cc chamber volume
valve sizes 2.080/1.600

Got the 227's on my 409 and they make good power. Got plenty of material for additional port work if you so desire.
