I’m planning to have the EGR system removed on my diesel truck and need a tuner who can handle the programming properly. I’ve heard horror stories about bad tunes causing limp mode, rough idle, and check engine lights, so I want to get it right the first time. Has anyone here used a tuner for an EGR delete they’d recommend? Specifically, I’m curious about fuel economy changes, how you handled emissions inspection requirements in your area, and whether custom tunes are worth the extra cost over off-the-shelf options.
