guys, im on 2 sights this one and the hamb. i go to the hamb because thats where my interest really lies.i love drag racing.i have since i was a little kid.but i started losing interest in it when the small shop and backyard guys didnt stand achance.and thats been a long time ago.but with the hamb i still get my drag racing and my old cars all in one shot,i stay here because this was the first forum i was ever on.and the main reason is you guys.one person on here actually saved my life not real long ago.he knows who he is.in fact i think ive said it before on here.ill stay here as long as there is a place for me to go to...

same with this being my first site also. There are some great people on here we even got into some gun talk a few weeks back. Brian and myself have been talking the last week or so about cars and guns it has been great!

You are a good man Ken. This is a good place for us... bounce things off each other & still be men. We don't need to be shamed to be men here... or tip-toe around talking about the Lord. Cars are the "Icing On The Cake"... its really about you guys that keep me coming back.

Well guys I just passed my 10 year mark as a member of RJ. I have been the moderator /admin for better part of this past decade. I have seen people come and go . Never lose sight of the fact who RJ is. ITS YOU not a Mod,PJ or any site feature or owners. ITS YOU. The people make up who RJ is. That is why I have never had an issue with telling people " Not to let the door hit them in the a$$" If they started this site bashing crap. I never understood why a so called "GOOD MEMBER" would continue an assault on their

True. I have to be humble when thinking on this subject; because I have been on both sides... good/bad, law/lawlessness, ignorant/wise, etc... it is the stages of life that I find interesting... I think of those who have died for less than I have done. Yet, I/we are still here today (Thanks Lord). I guess it is not how we start, but how we finish this life... what we do with it.

Man I bet. Last year I did not run the Nova at all. Now I got a lot of upgrade chassis work done it is now NHRA certified as LOW and the heaviest cert a mild steel car can have 7.50 25/4 which is up to 3600 lbs. It took alot of extensive floor brace work to get it to 25/4 but my thought process was Now that it is tore down might as well do all I can do to get the best certification I can which was 7.50 24/4

I am gonna run a compression check to see how we stand..then gonna set up 1 stage and ramp in about 3 degrees on the gear retard program between 4 and 6k this works good on the tracks I play around.
I thought about making it all muscle changing converter and putting a lot of gear in it but all motor car just will not get it done like the nitrous . The TQ curve is un-real and Flat. Plus 200 shot on A BIG CHIEF 632 is childs play for that engine.. :D

I thought about spraying my car a couple years ago and decided not to. I talked to one guy who ran nitrous and he told me it was addictive and I would not let it be at a 150 shot. Instead I put on alky for a while the had to park it until last year. Switched over to E85 when I got the car back out only ran 4 or 5 times last year and health problems forced me to park it again. I have raced once this year and the car ran great but, now I have very low oil PSI. I have not torn it down yet maybe after vacation in a couple weeks I can look at the motor.

Lol.... yes there is something to that addiction statement. Lol... To be exact you actually get use to it and it seems like the car is slowing down but the et and mph shows the same. The fastest nitrous pass you will ever make ( feel ) is your first pass...I started out running 9s in the 1/8th as a teen then 8s,7s for a long time.. Just to get in the 6s was my goal...finally got there..then it slowed down.. 6,50s was the new goal..after getting to 6.50s. 5.90's became my obsession. It took me 3 years of running 6.05, 6.01 etc.. I finally ran a 5.99 in street trim..got it down to 5.95 @ 118mph...then jumped my A$$ in a 10.5 OUTLAW car .. Ran 1 motor pass 5.80 @ 126 mph with a 1.33 60ft...Next pass was on 1 small hit and run a 5.00 flat @ 144mph with a 1.10 ft. talking about jumping in head first.. It took me over 3 yrs to pick up 3 tenths..and 2nd pass in the Outlaw car I went almost a full second faster..and we talking from high 5s to a 5.0 where the 1/10ths and Mph is a lot harder to come by. lol :shock:
