Need the lobe centerline & seperation on the cams.

Dang it,oldand tired beat me to it! He's right. The timing of the lobes are paramount on a NOS cam, more so than any other number.
114.0 both on first and 112.0 both on second
and compression is somewhere between 12.5 and 13
Toss up, I wish the second cam had the 114. Dave
ok. but what should i order then? have any recommendations?
Personally I would go with cam #1. You can always move up as you have the compression ratio to support either cam.
Thanx guys!
Comp cams suggested this on. I think i will go with my old no 1 cam for this year and next year will order a new one: Duration @ .050 282/298 Lift with 1. Rockers .806/.758 LSA 114 |
At that weight, with those cubes, I would use the 2nd one myself. It will really like the duration. The lobe sep is a hair tight, but will work fine. That 1st cam is to small for even running naturaly aspirated if you want to make max power. It gets even worse on the bottle.
I am doing a pump gas 565 that will run a 300 plate, its getting an Erson, 280-292 at .050, with .807-.765. on a 112. This is a comprimise, as its a street car, lol. Frank |
