Drag Expo. Anyone going?
 

Anyone going to the Drag Expo in Schaumburg,IL Jan 30-31???

I'll be there on the 30th. Possibly meet a few of you guys. 8)

I have gone the last 3 years in a row so I should be there!

I believe I will book my room this weekend and come over if the forecast looks like no snow. I go to meet up with my buddies that come in from all over. It's a blast. I may be around the DRR or Nitroplate area and as always, I will be spending time with my friend Tim at The Fab Shop display. Tim will have my new chrome headers on display at the show.

I wouldn't miss it!! going to try for saturday , with 21 buildings with boilers & in heating season I have to escape when I can, nothing breaks, Im there :D

You pick Rudy up late Thursday/early Friday, be at my house Friday nite and I have 2 extra bedrooms and a fridge full of cold beer! get up Saturday and its just a 2 hour drive from my house to the expo!

If you received the flyer in the mail, look at the big picture. They photoshopped the crowd to make it look like more people. Worse than that, they photoshopped the vendor aisles to make the show look 2-3 times bigger than it actually is. They even coppied the cars for sale. We kinda played a game wtih it seeing how many copied people we coud find. :D

I live about 1.5 miles from there and make it there every year. Its a great show. Thats about how busy it is on a Saturday, Sunday too..as long as the Bears arnt in the super bowl and its a conflicting date as it was a few years ago.

talked to Nyes today .. they have a booth and will have a few engines on hand so anyone looking for a short block/complete motor in the near or distant future you should all take a look and of course tell him you know me :)

I'll have the Iceman Camaro in the car corall for sale. Stop on by and say hi. Should be a good time.

I Stopped by the nyes booth and told them that you spoke highly of them, he said I just missed you. :cry:

He told me a few people had mentioned me, I spent 30-40mins at his booth and meet a few people from other forums but never seen or meet anyone off here ... bummer

Was looking for my local buddies also and never seen them .. sorry I missed ya Beast

side note ... my arm is killing me from being in that group with a arm in a sling.. some guy not paying attention ran a oil pan right into it ouch

Had a great time there yesterday. Good talking to ya Beast, wish I would have met more people. Sold the Iceman car there too, way cool. Now I can move on with Iceman II.

What a busy weekend. I got to spend time in the booth with Tim from Fab Shop catching up and JB at Dragsters For Sale. As always, it was great to hang out with the gang and go out the Geno's East for some great pizza on Saturday night. Really sorry I did not get to meet some of you guys. I checked out the Iceman it what a nice piece. Someone got themselves a heck of good deal on that car.
