What is the problem??? Looks like 2 bad azz chevelles 1 from New York and 1 from Florida... Neither guy takes a very good pic, but that isnt a crime...

He must mean that the ads are too good to be true,in my opion if they are real,those are both a steal!

I believe this is what they are talking about. I have seen several cars that HAL396 has on that I would have bought if I had the money, even wrote him once to find out it was sold and the ad stayed up for a while.

sorry guys for being so vague.i see this clown posting these rediculous adds all the time.i have been on this board for a while now and see the same pattern in this idiots ads.i still can't figure out what the motivation is.i buy a lot of things off of the internet and have been very fortunate not to have any complications.i would not want for anyone to fall into a scam of any kind.we all work too hard to do what we do.this particular poster has been posting these ads for a good while now.if you look at his descriptions and compare them to the photo,as vaugue as they are,you can see that they are not as they seem.if you look closer,all these photos look like they were taken at a car show or something.every last one of them.but why though?????why post these rediculous ads up?any way.i come on this forum quite frequently.i dont post much if any.this forum is a great tool for those looking to protect themselves on a purchase/trade/deal/whatever.what i see all too often is that people make a deal first THEN come here looking for help AFTER the fact.i spend most of my time on another forum but get on rj daily.always looking for a deal :lol: anyway,i hope this makes sense to all.btw,i hate thieves.

the mods on the forum have nothing to do with the ads on racing junk , best thing for people to do is be careful who you deal with..JMO

Had many encounters with Jacky427/Hal396/etc... he got pretty mad at me & complained to the mods long ago & blocked me. What he is doing is taking pic's of cars that are not his.... at outdoor car shows. Notice most of the pics do not show the whole entire car. This is to avoid ID'ing the car by the owner completely. He will then take a 30 to 40K Chevelle, or SS type car in show quality & ask between 7K to 12K for it. Every time he posted an ad, I would try to but it right then... but it was already "sold" or he another car he was trying to spin me to. There have been threads as the mods have pointed out about this guy before... he wasted a lot of my time!! He will point out motor internals on a stock SS 70' Chevelle (maybe it's an LS6 in true form, who knows) & he will say it is built with all the best, but runs on pump gas for example. I don't think this guy could build a TRICYCLE. He needs attention, so he get's it by listing cars that are not his. What a LOSER. Scoot

Nope, I think he (jackoff427) took it off... or the mods did... I did turn that ad in as suspicious/reported it. I am sure he will show another one again soon.

When we disable a member, and you post the ad number in the search box, it will not show up and bring you right back to the home page. We are still investigating this activity.

I wanted to say thank you. I know that investigating these ads may not be as easy as some of us think; but I appreciate it. The jacky427/Hal396 type ads really wasted my time & got my hopes up when really they were probably scams or sick people who need attention. I know that it is a free site & things may not be as easy as we see it... but thanks for doing what you can!!! Scooter
