i am a Chevy Guy and been one all my Life....But dang Fords 2010 GT 500 Hotrod is Killing the 2010 Chevy camaro...both Muscle and looks

i know the Price is 15k more but at least Ford is stepping up to the plate in the age of electric cars and scooters.


the Gt 500 has 540 hp and look Great ($48,000)

the 2010 camaro SS2 is 426 HP Looks like Fido's a$$ ( IMO) for $33,000
I mean COME ON that was a feeble attempt by CHEVY ON muscle ( IMO)


Ford has even Stepped up their Taurus ( SHO) Turbo charged V-6 making 350hp and 350 ft lbs of Tq. 8) ...ALL FOR $23,000



Why can't Chevy step up to the plate ( FOR -REAL AND STOP PLAYING)... make a TRIBUTE car to the 69 camaro Body style..turbo charge INTERCOOL it for 600 hp MANUAL 6 SPEED... :shock: :shock: :shock: :D 8) :roll: :idea:

I swear I would shovel Cow CHIT to get one of those if it happened.

I went up to the local Chevy dealer (Larry King) and looked at a 6 cyl Camaro they had (didn't have a v8 in stock). Not impressed at all, in fact I thought the interiors sucked.
I agree juice, the Mustang is a seriously bad a## ride! As far as shoveling cow dung for the Camaro you described, I would likely EAT a couple shovel fulls for that! :shock: :shock: OK, only one shovel full. :lol:

agree with youn 100% bjuice. I have been nothing but chevy all my life but more and more everyday i keep leanin toward ford. I never thought i would ever consider a ford but now its a different story.(if i had any money) There new f150 Raptor looks like its goin be one heck of a truck too.

I would rank the Mustang 1st, the Challenger 2nd and the Camaro a distant 3rd. I think the whole idea of having to install an engine from the bottom is ridiculous. I've installed an engine from the bottom in a Firebird and it is a pain. From what I have been told, the new Camaro is a bottom feeder too.

Ford has it all over Chevy. I thought about ordering a new Camaro but the more I see them the worse they look. I gave up on GM when they made the new GTO. That's when I realized who was designing the new cars. These guys don't have a clue.
The new Camaro comes with Z stripes and they call it an SS. What the heck happen to the RS hide away lights. RS was hide away lights not an emblem. Help me out here, two stripes down the hood and trunk are Z28 only. SS came with Hockey puck and Bumble bee stripes ONLY. So why are they putting Z stripes on an SS.
They don't have a clue. They don't even know what a 69 Camaro looks like.
The new Camaro looks like a Cadillac Seville. If your a Chevy guy what the hell do you buy if you want a new Muscle car?

Just to add to the misery of the GT 500. You can also upgrade the GT 500 to 720hp and some other mods to the exterior. They call that the Super Snake. But you will have to send the GT 500 to Shelby America in Vegas to get that upgrade. I got a pic of one on my racespace. Its not a really good pic. I will try to find a diff one.

Alright I know you guys are gonna poo poo on me but I like the new camaro. my sister bought the 2SS , I think its pretty cool. If i could I would have a challenger , mustang & camaro, I think there all great 8)

Oh yeah and I like the looks of the new Camaro and Mustang but no tthe new Challenger. To me the Challenger looks like the Camaro anyways. Just a lil diff mod to the front and back end.

I am gona buy a Chrysler 300 ....Best looking car out right now in my opinion. Looks like a Gangster car with a chopped top. 8)

Yep GM really dropped the ball on the 'new camaro' not even close to looking like a 69 camaro.

On the other hand, Ford got it right on the money, just see for yourself.

nahhHHH In the past never cared enough for them ( Fords) enough to have one around long enough to work on it.( other then adjusting some valves for friend )


Bottom Line Chevy has dropped the Soap and Ford is standing right behind them....you can take it from there...!!!!


I hope Chevy gets their pride back in 2011 and do somethingabout it...as of Now the Bowtie is Fords...BEEEEEEOTCH !

I own a 08 gt but i do not like the 2010 mustang!!!!!The tail lites dont look like any old stang ive seen!!!!!Ford is going toward the 98 to 04 look again why????????They is gonna lay and egg!!!!!The front looks good but i still think 05 to 09 looks the best!!!!!But the paper shufflers always get thier way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2010 mustang looks good, but it looks like the '09 Camaro! I do like the front, but not the chop top very much. I really don't like the half glass roof. I just looked at 'em for about 5 mins and have no idea what is standard and what options are avail.
I do agree that Chevy needs to think long and hard about it's new cars and the cost of new cars.

and yes, PLEASE NO MORE 4 DOOR MUSCLE CARS!! Make more 2 seater cars and put Corvette motors in 'em!! :wink:

If you're basing your opinion of Ford on how difficult they are to work on you would have to hate GM and Chrysler too. I've had my own repair shop for 27 years and IMO they have all done some pretty stupid stuff when it comes to working on them. I had a guy working for that was complaining about how hard some of the cars were to work on and he said "you know, they could've made this easier to work on". I told him if that if they did the unskilled, ill-equipped, shade-tree mechanics would be doing the work and he wouldn't have a job. :roll:

Well...seeing as how I sell Chevy's I'm going to lean towards the Camaro. You can have all the h.p. you want, but if it doesn't hook up it's a waste. The new Camaro has some weak points, but so do the rest of them. The Challenger looks o.k. i guess, but I just can't get into it. (not because I'm fat) It just looks weird with that tall roof line.

Well... I see all points here. I looked at an SS about a month ago & it claimed more like 400HP+ i think?? I looked at the QP gills, body lines, gauge cluster, Console, etc... not sure they really made a retro 69 very well in my opinion.... (I am not biased, I have a 69 Camaro). At the very least, I would want a modern cowl hood & better looking wheels & tries... not sure about the grill too... the RS/hideaways would look neat too on the 2010 Camaro.

I like the Challenger.... if it was rid of the smog mess, no California model, w/o an ECU that was responsible for wiping your azz... Come on, I could not work on that thing!! A computer has to diagnose a ECU Computer to tell you what sensor does what???? No thanks, sick of that game. Gut it, drop a 426 naturally aspirated motor in it & a 4spd & I think it would be cooler.

Clearly in my opinion, the Mustang FB is the best retro muscle car. It preserves the nostalgia the best... but here we go again... too many sensors, smog controls, cats, blah blah blah...

OUR MUSCLE CARS NOW DAYS ARE SOCIALIZED. Pretty soon, if you speed, they will call the cops on you or something. Scoot

I'm a Chevy guy through and through but the Camaro is a sad knock off of a retro IMO. If I had to choose from the three it would be the Challenger.

You are funny Double/D. The Camry is a female car for sure. I hear they last a long time too. Now the 1st or second gen Mustang... I think you should get her into a 67/68 FB of some kind... that would be cool. make it a cruzer w/ PB/PS & get her to feel comfortable first... then gradually, do little "Updates" while she sleeps... until you get er in the high 11's or 12's.
