Flashy outside means nothing under the hood.
Dave |
think he might be very proud that it is a "CHEVELLE" TOOK THE "CHEVELLE OFF IT AND TRASH THOSE UGLY WJHEELS AND WOULDN'T BE A BAD LOOKING CAR
YGTBFS me
It takes all kinds with all sorts of IQ's |
Just about an hour and a half ago we drove past a clean looking 1970 el camino but it had those Gigantor freaking wheels on it. A couple weeks ago I saw a beautiful 69 Chevelle convertible but it had those monster wheels...just ruined the looks of it in MY opinion....and that's only my opinion. If you like them by all means, more power to ya.
Is that called a Bink, or a Bonk, or a Blonk    |
Actually...I believe it's "DONK" seriously.
tod, I have heard of car being called donks, what the hell does it mean?? :)
imo its short for donkey as you look like the north end of a south bound mangy mule imo they make everything look like crap

Any POS late 70's or early 80's American heap (preferably an Impala) that has large enough wheels installed until it resembles (and rides and handles like) a Conestoga wagon. This is done so it sits up high enough so as to be at the same eye level as the Playas with real juice ridin in their Escalades. Adding in a bad candy paint job and Wal-Mart sub box completes the transformation. With no money left over for necessary suspension and brake upgrades, the lifespan is limited to a few drug runs or the first Police chase, whichever occurs first. |

    that definition belongs in the websters(dictionary)
That is really something... awful wheels... not even lowered, looks like 4wd with dumbazz written all over it!!! What a waste of a Chevelle. It would take 13,500 just to get it back to what it SHOULD look like. BTW: I believe that is a 1972 Chevelle...
I saw a car that had 1 foot tall numerals on the side that read "26". I was trying to figure out whose football number or Nascar number it was until my son said, 'that's the size of the rims".
They needed a reminder to tell you what rims they had??  Dave |
nice 1970 malibu

AGREE WITH YOU GUYS 100% THERE ARE WAY TO MANY GUYS UP HERE THAT HAVE A BEAUTFUL CAR BUT IT MAKES U SICK WHEN U LOOK AT IT BECAUSE THE WHEELS ARE TO BIG. NOTHING BETTER THEN THE GOOD OLE 15'' WHEEL GO WIDER NOT TALLER

Yea, I was looking for the front end myself.
If you look in the reflection of the window it is a white guy.
Besides....who in the heck would change a 70 to look like a 72? usually it's the other way around, as most like the 70 better.

"You are buying what you see in the pictures" Well shoot, I see a camaro and a Mopar!!! Do we get all 3 cars?
and my opinion too, those rims are terrible, make a car look like
a train car, and if you check out chip foose the first thing he draws are huge rims, i have not ever seen him redue a car with traditional tires, it realy ruins the look of the car, i have seen those tires blow out and the tire flys off like a blower belt and the guy is ridding on that huge rim, oh well :? |

Their motto is the bigger the better, kinda like the MR T gold chains of yeteryear. Landon worked on a cutlass supreme with 24's, he ended up having to put 513 gears in to make it drive halfway decent....lol 8) |
Ya'll remember when they used to stick out of the fender by about 2'? Maybe they figure that this is a little bit easier on the wheel bearings.

Then you have these 2 Chevelle dudes... what can be said about them??? THERE MUST BE A NEW LAW ENACTED THAT PROTECTS CHEVELLES FROM POTENTIAL MOLESTERS... "HB 64- 72" preventing the purchase or restoration of a 64 to 72 Chevelle 2dr to mentally unstable people who might pose a threat to the stability of the Chevelle image. Those who break this new law will be forced to drive a Toyota Prius for the rest of thier pathetic lives. |

that would be a great day if that law could get passed
A toyota prius, with great huge ridiculous looking wheels and tires with 1 inch sidewalls. And giant letters that say.........(insert your choice here)
the prius should come with a mandatory rope in the trunk to hang your self with because of the shame caused from driving it
not chevelle but another ruined classic
