Since you got all that high rpm HP I'd put a 7000rpm 8 inch 2 piece aluminum job in there...lol
Serioulsy, We need way more info than what you gave, only thing we could do is be ballpark close, something around 3500 for street use and alittle more for track use Or you can call TCI, PTC, BTE, T/S and they'll build one exactly to your needs. Goodluck, CP |
ok james
whatever u have to tell yourself to make it feel beter  :o |
hmmm no offense bowhay but i smell some overconfidence hahaha

yea see thats what im talkin about
and thats why im gonna go and run at the next race but i just wanted to see if anyone could give suggestions off of the info i had to give i mean i am pretty green at the hole drag racing thing, this is my first motor to build all i want is help so any suggestions are greatly appreciated but that is what i need, help and suggestions from people more experienced than me and now i know that yall need more info so heres some more duration at .50in lift is 219 int. and 227 exh. lift is 489 491 vortec heads flat tops 11.1 to 1 comp th 350 trans dual plane air gap 750 holley hope thats enough |
Next race Penwell Raceway May 23, gates open at 10:00, this will eliminate all the bullshit. My slightly experienced guess will be 15.20 @ 88MPH. :D
|
alright
wel see |
IF YOUR GOING TO RUN IT ON THE STREET I WOULD GO WITH A 10 1/2" WITH 3000 STALL... OR POSSIBLY A 3500 STALL IF YOU HAVE A SMALLER OR LIGHT CHASSIS..

What a freaken punk you are onedragracer, what does 425hp have to do with ET in a 4800lbs truck anyway? It is totally possible to make 425 hp with a 383 sbc, and be a mild motor. I had the same situation happen to me when a punk claimed that a 406 (pump gas flat tappet) I built would never run inthe 6sec range in the 1/8th. He and his little boys showed up to see it run because I claimed it should run solid in the 6 sec. Well the first few runs it didnt and they all carried on and laughed. I found a small problem with number seven rocker and repaired it (it backed off adjustment) and it proceded to run a 6:76. They were all gone before I got back to the trailer! They thought they knew everything to! I figure they saved themselves a thrashing from me. I guess the moral of the story is keep your flap shut and you may learn something! Well if your pride lets you anyway.

By the way assholy, why don't you try running in 6500' DA then you can run your mouth. Living in Georgia, like you do, the mountains up north aren't that high.
By the way assholy I'm from Reynolds Georgia, tell me where you live assholy. |
Also assholy, these are local kids that live here in Odessa Tx and are friends with my son , these kids are 17 and 18, but I guess people like you that like to run there mouths don't realize that.
