Finally got the '69 Camaro rolling!

This is it men, been working hard on it. I have run into a small problem though. I have been looking at my 383 shortblock and wondering what it would look like with a blower on it and sitting in the '69 instead of this ZZ4? My wife said I have to put at least 500 miles on it before I can change motors,,,,,again.
Man, she sure does hassle me alot.

LIVELY

hollowayshotrods 09-11-2008 03:22 AM

Lively,
No, it is LeMans blue top and bottom from the factory. I almost took it off, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it,,,,,so it was spared. Thanks for the compliments guys, they are truly appreciated.

Very nice cars. You should be proud of all of them.
Good Job!

What do you think about the zz4 motor ?I put one in my sons 84 firebird and so far im not to impressed but he does have the stock rear end gears what ever they are lol

hollowayshotrods 09-27-2008 02:18 PM

Thanks qtrmile2! Nothing but a Chevy for me 8)

Altailies, I like it alot for the application, street with factory a/c. I have a th350 with a shift kit and a pegleg rear with I guess around a .373 or so in it. Could get some more out of it if I ran MSD with a small double pumper. HEI and Edelbrock 600 now. It is a really sweet motor for a daily driver with a little kick, not a Pro Street motor by any stretch, but it is a bunch of fun.

cbmotorsports24 02-23-2009 05:57 PM

nice group of toys. What else is in the garage?

hollowayshotrods 02-24-2009 04:36 PM

Thanks chevynovaman! I appreciate that!

I am down to my '68 Nova, '69 Camaro and '75 Camaro. Had to thin the herd out since we sold our ten acres and moved back onto our postage stamp!

I am doing a few upgrades to my '69, will have more pics soon.

Later,
Rudy

Nice 69 Rudy!! That should be a nice cruzer too... I like the A/C!! I wish mine was not so pro-street somtimes... it would be more useful. I digg the hockey stripes & the white vynil top too. Have you ever replaced the drip rails?? I have to do that soon... never done it before. Scooter

hollowayshotrods 03-03-2009 04:51 PM

Thanks Scooter! No, I have never replaced the drip rails, I have no clue how to do it. I really like the a/c myself, nice and cool on them hot southern summer days!!
I gotta say though, the vinyl top is gone first chance I get. I want it top and bottom Lemans blue, black hockey stripes. This will be our first summer actually playing with it, has been under construction for awhile.

Nice heard!
Sounds like you got your priorities right Rudy, a small house and lots of bada$$ cars. Now thats living!

MEMRACING62 03-04-2009 04:53 AM

WHAT A DREAM YARD OF SWEET RIDES!!!

hollowayshotrods 03-23-2009 08:21 PM

Charles and Mem,
Thanks for the compliments men. We have never understood the need to live in a home any bigger than what is necessary. I would much rather buy a '69 Camaro than heat and cool un-used space. My wife on the other hand, well I guess you can figure that! If it wasn't for her I would live in a tent and have a hundred cars!!

Scooterz 04-03-2009 10:07 AM

Yep rudy. Same here we have a 2 level home that is only 1600sq ft & 800 is basement (we use it as living space too). My mortgage is pretty cheap & the garage is all mine!! We keep the overhaed down to have toys & put the kids through a better school system. What SUCKS is that Uncle Sam will not let us write off private school & we pay taxes on the public!! Oh well, such is life. You only live once, do as much as you can with the toys... why spend that time in the house??? Scooter

Spoken like a true car lover!

But I want A/C and heat in my tent, that one is still on the drawing board.

I was going to build a 2000 square ft shop in my backyard at my EX's house( glad I didnt cause it would be hers now)
but the home owners association wouldnt let me.
Said it couldnt be no bigger than 1/2 size of the house!
It was 1170...lol
