Okay. Thanks,Boss. Can I start my own private thread that noone else can see, where I can just go in and practice :?:

v8Fiero 01-21-2008 08:49 AM

thats an awsome collection you have, do you race the slingshot very much?

olds48 01-21-2008 09:01 AM

Whew, finally got it...i think. Thanks v8fiero.Acually,I have only had the digger about a month, and can't enen fit in it right now, because of the way the steering wheel and shifter are mounted.Bought it from a friend as a roller,so motor and trans aren't even mine.Just couldn't wait to show off, though

Old-timer, is that a tree stump sticking out of the hood of this car?? did you notice any hp/tq gains with that install? I suppose you can safely brag about having a real 'stump puller' now

jk, but I am curious what that is.

Got your old car looking pretty good.
I like that narrowed booty and fat meats tucked up under the back, nice looking big iron you got sitting between the fender wells too.
Now the brass knuckles on the valve covers, man that's off the hook!

><Cp

v8Fiero 01-24-2008 06:44 AM

yea, them brass knuckles are sweet, do you remember where you got those covers at?

BTW, great name for a pet!

Racefab57 01-24-2008 12:57 PM

GREAT slide show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY nice cars! David.

olds48 01-24-2008 01:43 PM

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.I made the valve covers.Found some knuckles at the flea market and the gears started turning  .I got them for sale actually. Can't seem to get rid of them.Might keep them instead. :?:

v8Fiero 01-24-2008 01:50 PM

what did you use to attach them to the covers?

olds48 01-24-2008 01:55 PM

Epoxy that I got at the warehouse where we buy equipment.I've tried a CANNOT pull them off

olds48 02-12-2008 07:44 PM

Got to start my car tonight.Been October since I've heard it run.Feels like I got my second wind now.Boy,those 4" pipes talk!!!Just waiting on axles and rear brakes and I'll be done!!Seems strange to own a tubbed car.I know it's not a big deal too alot of you guys, but to me a tubbed car was always something the"big guys" had.Anyway,I'm having a blast.Time well spent and money well wasted!!

olds48 02-18-2008 01:22 PM

Got a few progress pics.Got my headers built, finally.Stud girdles on with new valve covers and finally got to start it.Also gathered a few parts for the rail.Tunnel ram and tires and wheels

v8Fiero 02-18-2008 03:50 PM

wow, that looks badass! 8) when do you think it will be ready for the track?

Ive never seen a tunnel ram like that before, the upper half looks like its a dual plane?

olds48 02-18-2008 05:16 PM

It is sorta a dual plane. The divider goes down about 1 1/2" then it has a 1" gap that's wide open.I never seen one either,so I snatched it up.The Olds, hopefully will be ready in a few weeks. The rail, probably next season  Out of $$$$.Business is slow

lively 02-18-2008 08:33 PM
