Who are these engine builders you speak of dragon? Anyone we would know? Just curious.

Sam who have you been talking to :?: I have lived here for almost 50 years now :!: Racing for almost 30 years now and i know 99.9 % of engine builder's here :!: I race with some high horsepower big block's with iron head's :!:

what about 2.02 1.6 head are they good for strret use or should i stick with the 1.94 any other things i can do to squeez a few more h.p out of it??
thanks logan

I would ditch the torker manifold, it wont work very well on the street. go with a preformer. 750 carb and that manifold will be a bogger on the street. take the carb down to a 650 cfm also

mark sbc is what im talking about and greg (used run a dragster in kingsport) thomas not sure of last name and my uncle who has been building motors since i was a little kid

mopar1968 02-12-2011 05:50 PM

Sam i met your uncle and i wasn't impressed :!: :!: I know alot of high HP engines even small blocks with iron or steel head's :!: You can pull big HP from a engine without aluminum head's :!:

we will have to agree to disagree on my uncle mark cause ive seen some of the stuuf he has built for himself and others

mopar1968 02-12-2011 06:03 PM

Well i want to see it :!: He might be your uncle, But you don't come to someones house that you don't know and down their car either. The engine in my old Charger is a 500 CID stroker dynoed at 632 at J&J Racing in Kingsport and it has iron heads on it.

dragonmaster093 02-12-2011 06:13 PM

i was embassed cause he is that way and as i posted in here these were my opinions and what i had heard im not a pro engine builder and will not claim to be i know i have lots to learn and lots of knowledge here and you know me more then just on here. you know i may be partial to chevy but i dont put down anyones race car on a personal level for many reasons
1. a race car a race car
2. everybody has blood sweat tears and lots of hard earned cash in them
3. every one is proud of there ride and even though i may not like or not my flavor its their pride and joy
