I destroyed one of those with a small block. It sounded like it had gravel in it when I took it out. Maybe just bad luck cause the motor was nothing...11 to 1 406 with a hyd cam. I did abuse it though...powerbraking etc

8000 DOLLARS IN A BBC I WOULD HOPE TO BE GOING IN THE 9'S.I GOT ALITTLE OVER 4000 IN MY SBC IN A 86 SS MONTE CARLO AND IT IS GOING 10.40'S AND THAT IS ALL MOTOR.

what convertor will hold up and how cha-ching are we talkin??

Plan on spending no less than $1200ish on a good converter.

Bolt togethers are nice, but not required.

Neil Chance, ATI, Transmission Specialies, Coan... I'm sure there's more quality venders out there.

Before you call them though, it would be best that the vehicle is done, and an exact weight is known.

If you give them garbage information, they can't build you a good converter.

Personally, I run a Transmission Specialties 10.5" Northstar Spragless. But, converters, like brands of underwear, are a personal choice.
