3700 cc is a 225 cid slant six. Strong running six that's just about impossible to kill. Good looking Volare.

can someone help me?
if English is not good because it is used google translate
thanks

6th digit is for model year. 8=1978 which sounds right because he states it was manufactured in 1977.
For 1978 model the 1st digit is car line H=Volare
2nd digit is for price class. My info has no d, maybe that was a typo and should be a P which is for premium.
Digits 3 & 4 are body type, 29= 2 door special coupe.
5th digit is for engine, D=6 cylinder 225 with 2 barrel carburetor.
7th digit indicates assembly plant but I have no definitions for that.
8th through 13th digits are the sequential serial number.
I don't think the "C12P" is part of the VIN number.

hey fla, a 225 aintall that hard to kill.i had one in a 80s dodge pu started it up one day and bang. shot a rod out the side. when i opened the hood i could see the ground thru the block.i got so mad i went in the house got a 44 magnum and shot that damn truck 6 times.

HAHA !! I've done that as well, Outlaw !
'Cept it was to an old Homelite chainsaw that consistently vapor locked on me in the summer heat. After wearing out my right arm from pullin' I grabbed hold of the bar and bounced it off a log a couple of times then got my sawed off pump and blasted it with 7 rounds of slugs and dbl aut. Forced me to go buy a new saw that wouldn't give me NEAR the headaches !!

Ken, I stand corrected. :D

my uncle did that with his 72 dart...... it blew while going to lunch but it still ran with a hole bigger then my fist in the side of the block. he drove it more 20 mile from his work to my house and said ya couldnt even tell it was missing a cylinder .....lmao im not a dodge or a ford man myself.... but them slant 6's and 300 ford straight 6's were damn near bullet proof
