Josh,
Nice Looking DUECE! Are those Weld 2.0 Alumastar Fronts?I NEED a set Just like those? Later G 8) |
Yeah G they are the weld 2.0's I love the look of them but they were almost 1300 with tires and tax, Oh well its only money right...lol... Thats what I tell the wife anyway.
I am not a big block fan since I have only owned one other and it was a junk 468 that only lived 22 passes. I got a good deal on this 496 and it was built right and has good parts in it. Its 14:1, .714 roller, gm 990 heads. Should run 9.70's or 80's I hope in my 3200 pound boat. Well see in about a month I guess. |

Everybody has their own preference though. To me, Small blocks are for Racing and Big blocks are for Towing. Just my .02 |

Dam Tod that was from right after the 468 grenaded! I technically didnt build it...lol... picked it up carb to pan from a good friend in a trade deal.

Sucks when someone digs up an old post, but it sure was funny.

clean set-up!!! why did you install the grill? cooling problems?
|
Thanks, I put the grille in just for the look. It had one of those decals that I think looked like poop. It cooled good before and I really didnt notice much difference. I run 16 volts which makes my cooling system work excellent.
