Crank throwing. You can throw an aluminum crank farther than a steel one. Oh wait, I don't think anyone makes an aluminum crank.

I think if we're seriously going to throw cranks around, we're going to need to build us a trebochet. 8)A trebochet, is an engine of sorts, a siege engine.
