efi 92 gmc 1500 ext cab short bed 350 havin real bad problems with a lag when a floor it it feels like its just not gettin enough fuel and its the stock pump and im at 152k i changed the filter to see if that was the problem but no such luck so idk all other filters are new along with the oil so i have no clue

Get a fuel preasure gauge and see how much psi the pump is putting out...that will help eliminate the fuel pump if it isn't it.
|
preasure is fine tested good but now im out of ideas

Back a couple of posts, usually when the fuel pump on those trucks goes bad, they just quit, they don't slowly die and if you ever need to change it, it's easier to pull the bed off than to drop the tank.
Probably just need a good tune up, ei cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Have you tried to run it with out the air filter and see what happens? maybe the cam going flat, I think that was a problem on those engines also. |
ok so if i take off the air filter what would a be looking for
|
Just to see if it runs any different. It's cheap to do and if it improves then theres the problem. Mostly unlikely though.

ANY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT?? IF SO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCED AUTO WILL CHECK IT IF ITS THROWING A CODE... I HAVE SEEN A FEW CATALYTIC CONVERTERS PLUGGED BEFORE... PULL THE PLUGS AND SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE..
