Hey Doug,
How did things work out with the wide body blocks? Did they get the fuel in you needed?

brannonn 11-22-2016 07:46 PM

Have you checked the timing? I had the same problem with mine and I advanced the timing and fixed the problem.
Retarded timing will let the charge burn out the exhaust port/

Have you checked your timing?Mine did the same and my timing was retarded letting the fuel burn out the exhaust header.
Advanced my timing and the exhaust temp and water temp came down to normal!

Curtis I went to 1 race with the wide blocks and put 98 jets and had the same problem, never got to dyno it, both people with the dyno's have a problem with zoomies, will try going up on jets
Glen just read your reply, I have 36 degrees in it next year will try bumping it up to 40 and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks Curtis and Glen will update next year!!

Moved mine to 40 with 116 fuel and dropped in to the 5's

Did they open the angle channels on those metering blocks? They come with around a .136" exit, but need to be at least .160

What did you end up doing on this?

Curtis After placed my order for the BLP broad body parts, I saw that the bolts were not long enough. I contacted the business to inquire regarding why the blocks weren't included, and they verified that they were the supplier. I'm having them shipped in three days, and they should arrive tomorrow. I'll see how they perform because I have a two-day event this weekend. I'm going to start with smaller jets (.112) and work my way up. Doug spelling bee answers

Thank you for sharing this nice post, which includes plenty of valuable information. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
